THE EXHUMATION PROCESS CARRIED OUT IN THE BRATUNCA AREA

In the
Kameničko Brdo-Suhi potok area, Bratunac municipality, the process of exhuming
the mortal remains was carried out, which was coordinated by a legal officer of
the BiH Prosecutor’s Office by order of a prosecutor from the Special
Department for War Crimes.
The incomplete remains of one person were found at the mentioned site, which are assumed to belong to the Bosniak victim from 1995.
The found mortal remains were transported to the Tuzla Commemorative Centre for further forensic-medical processing and determination of the victim’s identity through DNA analysis.
Representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons (IMO) of BiH, the International Commission for Missing Persons - ICMP in BiH and a forensic pathologist were present at the exhumation, and the site was secured and criminal-technical support was provided by police officers from the Police Station Bratunac.
