OPERATION “BLACK TIE 2” CARRIED OUT IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA WITHIN THE FIGHT AGAINST INTERNATIONAL DRUG CARTELS

The
activities on the deprivation of liberty and searches are being carried out in
dozens of locations in the areas of Sarajevo, Zenica and Mostar, and the target
of the operation is several suspected natural and legal entities. Among those
arrested are high officials of police agencies and law enforcement
institutions. Evidence from encrypted applications have been collected within
the scope of the case.
The activities are aimed at prosecuting persons suspected of organised crime, illicit trafficking in large quantities of narcotic drugs, money laundering and other related crimes.
In the activities that are being carried out, international support is provided by the FBI, DEA and Europol.
The Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) BiH are taking part in the implementation of the activities with the prosecutor in charge and the professional staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and the police of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic are providing support on the ground.
