SUSPECT FROM SKY OPERATION ‘GODFATHER’ DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY AFTER ARRIVAL IN BIH

The suspect is under investigation in the case with evidence obtained from the SKY and Anom applications and is charged with organised crime related to the international smuggling of large quantities of narcotic drugs and their distribution on the illegal drug market.
Recently, in an operation codenamed ‘Godfather’, two suspects were deprived of liberty, searches were carried out at several locations and the said suspect was not found at the address at that point but was located abroad.
His deprivation of liberty was carried out immediately upon his return to BiH, and in the afternoon, he was handed over to the prosecutor in charge, who, after questioning the suspect, will make a decision on the custody motion, as well as on other activities in the case.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
