EXHUMATION PROCESS CARRIED OUT IN BRATUNAC AREA
30.11.2023. 14:59At the site of Pobuđe - Vranjkovina, in the municipality of Bratunac, exhumation of mortal remains was carried out. The process of exhumation was coordinated by a legal officer of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, pursuant an order of a Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes of Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At this site, skeletal remains of one person were found, and they will be transported to the Tuzla Commemorative Center for further forensic and medical processing and identification of the victim by way of the DNA analysis.
The process of exhumation, which was coordinated by a legal officer of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was carried out with the participation of the representatives of the Missing Persons’ Institute (MPI) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a forensic expert-pathologist, whereas police officers of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior from Bratunac and Zvornik Police Stations were securing the site and providing forensic and technical support.
