BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AN OPERATION CODENAMED "MASK", AIMED AT DETECTING AND PROSECUTING THOSE INVOLVED IN TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTICS, IS BEING CARRIED OUT. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ACHIEVED WITH THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
21.05.2015. 15:51Acting on the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Court of BiH, police officers of the RS MoI are conducting searches of the facilities in Banja Luka and Trebinje and undertaking activities on detection and apprehension of several persons involved in international drug trafficking, including police officers who have continuously engaged in criminal offenses of Organized Crime in connection with the criminal offenses of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Smuggling, during the past six months in Trebinje, Bileća and Berkovići.
Along with the activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina the Croatian police carried out coordinated activities in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, more precisely in the area of Dubrovnik.
The Assigned Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is coordinating the activities of police officers in connection with the arrests and searches on the ground.
The operation is still underway and more information will be known during the day.
