CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION OF VICTIMS AND WITNESSES OF GENOCIDE
17.04.2015. 15:17During the meeting, the issue of the International Conference on Investigation, Documentation and Prosecution of Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been discussed, which will be attended by the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.
Representatives of the Association of Victims have expressed their support to the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and activities related to the prosecution of war crimes cases.
At the meeting, it has been emphasized that the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues with its intensive prosecution of war crimes cases and cooperation with associations of war victims from the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bringing justice to victims represents a priority in the prosecution of war crimes cases; therefore, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is maintaining intensive contacts with representatives of associations of war victims from the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
