OPERATION CODENAMED "JOKER" INITIATED PURSUANT TO THE ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH. SEVERAL LOCATIONS SEARCHED AND A NUMBER OF PERSONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY.
03.09.2014. 15:11Pursuant to the order of the Assigned Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, police officers of the RS MoI have carried out searches and arrests of persons suspected of smuggling of excise goods.
Several locations were searched and 14 persons apprehended.
Activities were, inter alia, undertaken in the area of Banja Luka, Bosanska Gradiška and Laktaši.The matter concerns an investigation focused on detection of criminal offenses and prevention of smuggling of cigarettes and other excise goods.
During the course of these activities two tons of tobacco were seized.
All suspects will be questioned within the legal deadline by official persons of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in the premises of the RS MoI in Banja Luka.
