INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST THIRTEEN PERSONS FOR SMUGGLING OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following persons:
  • INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST THIRTEEN PERSONS FOR SMUGGLING OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

-        S.A. (1973) from Prizren - the Republic of Serbia, with prior convictions, currently remanded  in custody, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia,

-        D.O. (1976) from Bijeljina, with prior convictions, with a standing order of prohibiting measures, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

-        D.V. (1978) from Bijeljina, with a standing order of prohibiting measures, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia,

-        Đ.J. (1966) from Bijeljina, BiH citizen,

-        R.F. (1967) from Šekovići, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH,

-        Z.G. (1974) from Oštre Luke, with prior convictions, with a standing order of prohibiting measures, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 

-        S.M. (1967) from Zavidovići, with a standing order of prohibiting measures, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, 

-        O.N. (1988) from Bijeljina, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH,

-        D.P. (1985) from Ljubuški, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH,

-        M.P. (1992) from Ljubuški, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

-        B.P. (1979) from Ljubuški, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia,

-        D.I. (1978) from Bugojno, with a standing order of prohibiting measures, citizen of BiH and the Republic of Croatia, and

-        F.J. (1977) from Mostar, BiH citizen.

According to the indictment, the accused have operated in the municipalities of Bijeljina and Ljubuški during the period from February 26 to April 16, 2013 as an organized criminal group, and have contrary to the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and contrary to Article 6 of the Protocol Against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air, transferred migrants without valid travel documents across national borders.

The indictment charges the accused with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250 of the CC BiH in conjunction with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons under Article 189 of the CC BiH.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
