INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST THREE PERSONS FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS

Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against three persons charging them with illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs.

The indictment was issued against the following persons:

- S.K. (1988) from Modriča, with prior convictions, a citizen of BiH,

- P.I. (1983) from Bosanski Šamac, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH and Republic of Croatia, and

- J. C. (1967) from Bijeljina, with prior convictions, a citizen of BiH.

The accused are charged to have, as a group organized for illicit international purchase with the second accused P.I. as the organizer and S.K. and J. C. as members and with the intent to continue sales of narcotic drugs, attempted to bring in from the Republic of Serbia in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina the narcotic drug Marijuana-Skunk, that was declared as such by regulation and the trafficking of which is prohibited in BiH,  in the area of the municipality of Bijeljina on February 3, 2013 at around 8: 00 pm across the IBC Popovia in a motor vehicle.

During the course of identifying the accused and inspecting the vehicle the authorized officers of BiH Border Police found a custom-made compartment used to hide the drugs. The so called "stash" of marijuana-skunk was wrapped into five packages of PVC foil in the total amount of five kilograms and two hundred and eighty grams.

The accused are charged with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH, and in conjunction with Article 26 of the same Code.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
