CHIEF PROSECUTOR VISITED THE EXHUMATION SITE OF A LANDFILL IN BUĆA POTOK SETTLEMENT IN SARAJEVO

The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH Goran Salihović visited the location of the exhumation site at the landfill in the settlement of Buća Potok in Sarajevo, as well as micro-locations situated near the landfill which are being probed as there is information that the sites in question could contain the remains of Serb victims from the area of Sarajevo.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has, in line with  its activities of searching for the remains, requested certain satellite images of the location, increase in the allocation of funds for the exhumation process, as well as capacity building in terms of human resources that would expedite the process of searching for missing persons.

 

The efforts that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is investing in the process of exhumations, have been recognized and positively evaluated in the Report of the European Commission.

 

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, together with all institutions involved in the process of exhumations, continues with intensive activities aiming to expedite the process of locating and identifying the missing persons.
