EXHUMATION OF BODIES OF VICTIMS FROM THE PAST WAR ONGOING IN ZVORNIK
08.05.2013. 15:25Remains of one complete body have been found at this site, and the exhumation will be continued.
The found mortal remains will be transported to the Public Utility Company of Commemorative Center in Tuzla for autopsy, forensic analysis and identification.
An Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is coordinating the exhumation process in the field, whereas officers of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, representatives of the Public Security Station in Zvornik, and an expert forensic pathologist are participating in the process of finding and exhuming the mortal remains.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of conducting exhumations and tracing missing persons in all parts of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
