INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST HRUSTAN BOTIĆ (1983)
28.03.2013. 15:26The indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH charges Hrustan BOTIĆ to have, on an unconfirmed date during the period from September 1 to 10, 2011, obtained, in a manner known to him, one (1) counterfeit banknote of 50.00 Euros and forty-four (44) counterfeit coins in denominations of 5.00 BAM, which he knew to be counterfeits, aiming to put them into circulation.
As alleged in the indictment, the accused Botić has, on September 13, 2011, paid for a portion of purchased fire wood to a person in Kotor Varoš with the counterfeit bill of 50.00 Euros and eleven (11) counterfeit coins in denominations of 5 KM, while he kept the other thirty-three (33) counterfeit coins to himself.
The accused is charged with putting counterfeit money into circulation, thereby committing the criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money under Article 205, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
