EXHUMATION WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE AREA OF KALINOVIK MUNICIPALITY
22.05.2012. 15:47The recovered skeletal remains were transferred to the morgue in Tuzla for further forensic processing and collection of DNA samples for the purpose of establishing the identity through DNA Analysis.
The exhumation process was supervised by an Investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, a forensic pathologist, representatives of the Tuzla Commemorative Centre with machinery as well as police officers of Kalinovik PS.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of tracing and exhuming the missing in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
