MOTION FOR CUSTODY AND PROHIBITING MEASURES FOR FOUR SUSPECTS IN THE OPERATION CODE NAMED

07.11.2022. 08:16
After questioning the suspects, in presence of their lawyers, the assigned prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutors Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina a motion for remand in custody for two suspects, and also a motion to order prohibiting measures for two more suspected persons.
  • MOTION FOR CUSTODY AND PROHIBITING MEASURES FOR FOUR SUSPECTS IN THE OPERATION CODE NAMED

The remand in custody was proposed for the reasons described in Article 132, paragraph 1, point b) of the CPC of BiH i.e. due to risk that the suspects could hinder the investigation, conceal evidence and exert influence on witnesses or accomplices by being at liberty. The strict prohibiting measures proposed include the ban on leaving the place of residence, the ban on travel, as well as the ban on meeting certain individuals.

After the motion for remand in custody and prohibiting measures was submitted, a court hearing was held late last night where the assigned prosecutor explained in detail the reasons for remand in custody and prohibiting measures, which should ensure the smooth continuation of the investigation led by the Prosecutors Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo Canton MoI and partner police agencies.

Operation "Raptor" is aimed at detecting and prosecuting persons suspected of organized crime, illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, smuggling of persons and other related crimes, and it is a case in which international cooperation is realized and information obtained by decrypting Sky and Anom applications used.

The investigation in the case continues.
