BY ORDER OF THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE A LARGE SEIZURE OF SMUGGLED DRUGS WAS MADE IN THE CASE OF ORGANIZED CRIME AND ILLICIT DRUG TRAFFICKING
17.08.2022. 13:32Acting under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska seized 73 kg of the narcotic drug "Cocaine" in the area of Doboj, which was smuggled and hidden in a shipment of other ordered goods that were imported into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is one of the largest seizures of the narcotic drug "Cocaine" in post-Dayton BiH, and the value of the seized narcotics on the illegal drug market is several million EUR.
The investigation is conducted in cooperation with partner agencies of the European Union and Europol.The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues the investigation with the aim of fully resolving and documenting the illegal activity and perpetration of organized crime related to the illicit international trafficking of narcotic drugs in this case.
In the interests of the investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot provide more information to the public at this time.
