ACTING CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH SIPA DIRECTOR

Considering that a larger number of joint operations of the Prosecutor’s Office and SIPA were carried out in the past two months, in particular within the international operations “TWINS”, “PISMO” /Letter/, “CARMEN” etc., the central topics of the meeting and discussion were related to the cooperation and ongoing activities, as well as to activities planned to be undertaken in the forthcoming period within the fight against terrorism, organised crime, corruption, war crimes and other serious criminal offences.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SIPA are carrying out numerous joint activities and these institutions play an important role in strengthening the rule of law and creating a safe environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
