PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF BIH, FEDERATION POLICE DEPARTMENT AND WHC MOI ARE CONTINUING WITH THE OPERATION CODENAMED "METEOR"
20.12.2012. 14:22By order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of the Federation Police Department and Western Herzegovina Canton MoI have successfully carried out operation codenamed "Meteor".
The operation was carried out in the aim of detection and criminal prosecution of persons suspected of committing criminal offenses of Customs Fraud and Smuggling of Goods, as well as Illicit Possession of Weapons, Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and other offenses.
Activities were carried out at several locations in several cities in Western Herzegovina, and several suspects were questioned. A number of evidence relating to the committed criminal offenses were found and seized during the course of the operation.
An extensive investigation into this matter continues with the aim of issuing an indictment.
