INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST R.K.-J. (1977)
24.04.2012. 15:02The indictment charges R.K.-J. to have, in September 2011 as the owner and a responsible person in Tuzla photocopying shop, illegally reproduced and marketed copyrighted works such as textbooks and books of various authors and publishers, without permission of the author, other copyright holder or a person authorized to give permission aware that those were illegal copies which is contrary to Articles 20, 21 and 22 of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 63/10).
As alleged in the indictment on September 28, 2011 during the search of her office building the authorized officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, found and temporarily seized 88 illegal copies of books and textbooks.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
