INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST MARKANOVIĆ IRENA (1973)
13.03.2012. 15:21Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against MARKANOVIĆ Irena, born on July 13, 1973 in Zemun - Republic of Serbia, citizen of BiH and the Republic of Serbia, charging her with the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under 243rd Article 243, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH, in conjunction with the Law on Copyright and Related Rights ("Official Gazette of BiH" no.63/10).
MARKANOVIĆ Irena is charged to have made unauthorized copies of copyright works - books and textbooks by various authors without the consent of the author or other copyright holder or a person authorized to give permission, by way of photocopying books and textbooks which were in demand, in the premises of her entrepreneurial, craft and trade shop in Brčko, which is contrary to Article 20 Paragraph 2 of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights ("Official Gazette of BiH" no.63/10).
As alleged in the indictment, during the search of the office space on September 16, 2011 a large quantity of photocopies of books and textbooks, prepared for distribution, was found.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
