Acting on the order of the prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, SIPA police officers, with the support of the Una Sana Canton MoI, conducted an operation codenamed Alea, aimed at combating organized crime in conjunction with illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs.
Acting on the order and in coordination with a Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, the police officers of the Sarajevo Canton MoI deprived of liberty a police inspector of the Sarajevo Canton, who is suspected of criminal offenses of Breach of Secrecy of the Proceedings, Accessory after the Fact and Embezzlement in Office.
The suspect Dario Jekić, born in 1987 in Doboj, a person with an international arrest warrant for several criminal offenses, surrendered to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the presence of an attorney.
The investigative activities coordinated by a Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina were aimed at identifying property that is suspected to be derived from unlawfully obtained property, by persons suspected of organized crime, corruption, and Illicit trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs and other serious crimes.
Acting on the order of the prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, police officers of the Border Police have, in two cases, deprived of liberty a total of three suspects.
Following the questioning, the assigned prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to determine prohibiting measures for the suspect Dejan Radovanović, born in 1993 in Trebinje, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, employed as a police officer in the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Holding regular meetings with victims’ representatives is also part of the activities of the recently adopted Communication Strategy of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
In the locality of Brčanska malta, in the local cemetery located in the area of Bijeljina, the process of exhumation of the remains of victims from the past war was carried out.
Following the questioning of the suspect, the assigned prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a motion for remand in custody to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the legal deadline, for the suspect deprived of liberty in the operation of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton by order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
