The on-call prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH coordinated the investigation carried out by the investigation team at Sarajevo Airport. After the investigation, according to the preliminary findings of experts there are no indications that would lead to the conclusion that the damage to the aircraft was caused by firearms.

After receiving information that the regular inspection of an aircraft, which arrived on a flight from Zagreb at Sarajevo Airport, showed damage to the fuselage, which may have been caused by a bullet shot from a firearm, the on-call prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH requested an investigation by a crime scene investigation team in the presence of officials from the BiH Civil Aviation Directorate.

The prosecutor in charge in the Veljko Ugrenović et al. case submitted a motion to extend the custody measure for the suspect Dalibor Railić aka “Dugi”, who is charged with organised crime related to the illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs in the area of Prijedor and its surroundings, as well as other criminal offences including the murder of the Prijedor Crime Police Chief Radenko Bašić in March this year.

The prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in charge requested from the competent partner institutions and agencies in BiH to conduct an additional financial investigation in the case of organised crime related to drug smuggling and money laundering in order to record and block all suspects’ assets, including the assets registered in the suspects’ names after the court had imposed measures of banning the disposal of such assets and those that are possibly fictitiously registered in the names of other persons, as well as all suspicious transactions.
