FOLLOWING PLEA AGREEMENT, PERSON ACCUSED OF CORRUPTION CRIMES SENTENCED TO ONE YEAR IN PRISON

05.01.2022. 15:02 The accused Mirsen Ćano, born in 1975, employed as a customs officer of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Customs Office in Velika Kladuša, signed a Plea Agreement admitting his guilt and was subsequently sentenced to imprisonment for a term of one (1) year by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

04.01.2022. 13:10 A Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes has issued an Indictment against the following person:

SPECIAL DEPARTMENT FOR ORGANISED CRIME, ECONOMIC CRIME AND CORRUPTION FILED INDICTMENTS IN 151 CASES AGAINST 278 INDICTEES IN 2021

04.01.2022. 12:44 The number of indictments this Department filed against indictees is by 16.2 perscent higher than the number of indictees in Section II and Section III in 2020, in which 239 persons were indicted.

PERSONS SUSPECTED OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH

09.12.2021. 10:57  Acting on the order of the Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, in the area of Zvornik and Rogatica, SIPA officers arrested two persons suspected of crimes against humanity committed in Lješevo area - Ilijaš municipality in June 1992.

BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH POLICE OPERATION CODENAMED “CORRIDOR” IS BEING CONDUCTED

08.12.2021. 10:33  Acting on the order of the Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, BiH Border Police officers searched several locations used by eight suspects in several cities - Bijeljina, Brčko, Ugljevik and Doboj, due to suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of Organizing a Group or Association for Smuggling or Distribution of Goods on Which Duties Were Not Paid under Article 215 and the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214 of the CC BiH.
