BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND BORDER POLICE CARRY OUT ACTIVITIES IN THE FIGHT AGAINST MIGRANT SMUGGLING

23.09.2022. 15:02 Acting on the order of the prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, police officers of the Border Police have, in two cases, deprived of liberty a total of three suspects.

23.09.2022. 14:26  Following the questioning, the assigned prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to determine prohibiting measures for the suspect Dejan Radovanović, born in 1993 in Trebinje, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, employed as a police officer in the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

22.09.2022. 15:29  In the locality of Brčanska malta, in the local cemetery located in the area of Bijeljina, the process of exhumation of the remains of victims from the past war was carried out.

CUSTODY MOTION FILED FOR THE SUSPECT ADMIR ARNAUTOVIĆ (1980)

22.09.2022. 14:41  Following the questioning of the suspect, the assigned prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a motion for remand in custody to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the legal deadline, for the suspect deprived of liberty in the operation of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton by order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

CUSTODY MOTION FILED FOR AN EMPLOYEE OF DCPB BIH SUSPECTED OF CORRUPTION

21.09.2022. 15:27  The assigned prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has, following the questioning of the suspect, filed a motion for remand in custody of the suspect Fahrudin Gačanović, born in 1979, employed as a police officer of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies BiH, previously an employee of SIPA BiH.

21.09.2022. 14:15 In the case of corruption crimes, the accused pleaded guilty and were sentenced to prison sentences, as well as suspended sentences and fines, and the three accused police officers of the Border Police are no longer members of the police structure

THE REMAINS OF A VICTIM FROM THE PAST WAR FOUND AT THE EXHUMATION AT THE LOCATION OF LJUTA - KONJIC MUNICIPALITY

20.09.2022. 15:06  By order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the exhumation process was completed at the location of Duboko Valje-Ljuta located in the municipality of Konjic, during which the remains of one person were found.

20.09.2022. 10:38 A Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina coordinates and leads the activities of the police officers of the Sarajevo Canton MoI aimed at persons suspected of organized crime, illegal trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, as well as corrupt crimes related to the abuse of police capacities in helping members of organized criminal groups.
