PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AND SIPA RECEIVED AND RECORDED 27 REPORTS FROM CITIZENS RELATED TO THE ELECTION PROCESS

03.10.2022. 14:42  Acting on call duty for the day of the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on-call prosecutors who were, together with SIPA police officers, on duty in regional centers in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar and Tuzla, received reports from citizens or institutions that related to violations of public peace and order at polling stations, allegations of election irregularities that related to possible criminal offenses as well as various events and incidents related to the election process.

SUSPECT IN THE CASE CODENAMED STORAGE SURRENDERED TO THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH

03.10.2022. 14:14 Suspect Predrag Petković, born in 1987, a person who was sought by an international arrest warrant and suspected of several criminal offenses, surrendered to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the presence of an attorney after several months on the run. 

INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIMES IN RAJLOVAC NEAR SARAJEVO

03.10.2022. 10:29  A Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes issued an indictment against Mile Stojanović, born in 1952 in Sarajevo, living in Gornji Milanovac, Republic of Serbia.

03.10.2022. 08:13  The Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, in coordination with the Chief Prosecutor of the DPPO Prijedor, Mladen Mitrović, gave an order to the Ministry of Interior of the RS for the deprivation of liberty of 5 suspects, who were identified as being connected to illegalities related to the election procedure i.e. the passing of a large number of filled-in ballots to the polling station.

MOTION FOR CUSTODY AND PROHIBITIVE MEASURES FOR SUSPECTS IN OPERATIONS

28.09.2022. 15:54  After questioning, the suspect in the case codenamed Storage, who surrendered to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina after months of absconding, the assigned prosecutors will submit a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to remand in custody the suspect Darijo Jekić, born in 1987 in Doboj.

27.09.2022. 14:59 Acting on the order of the prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, SIPA police officers, with the support of the Una Sana Canton MoI, conducted an operation codenamed Alea, aimed at combating organized crime in conjunction with illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs.

27.09.2022. 12:15 Acting on the order and in coordination with a Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, the police officers of the Sarajevo Canton MoI deprived of liberty a police inspector of the Sarajevo Canton, who is suspected of criminal offenses of Breach of Secrecy of the Proceedings, Accessory after the Fact and Embezzlement in Office.

27.09.2022. 11:53 The suspect Dario Jekić, born in 1987 in Doboj, a person with an international arrest warrant for several criminal offenses, surrendered to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the presence of an attorney.

26.09.2022. 08:17  The investigative activities coordinated by a Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina were aimed at identifying property that is suspected to be derived from unlawfully obtained property, by persons suspected of organized crime, corruption, and Illicit trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs and other serious crimes.
