In the morning hours police officers of the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Interior of the RS, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, handed over to the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption five suspects deprived of liberty within operation "Hornet", directed at suppression of organized crime linked with illicit international trafficking of narcotic drugs.

In the case of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, the accused Dario Čukić, aka "Čuka", born in 1994 in Tuzla, pleaded guilty to the criminal offense of Counterfeiting of Money under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Acting under the supervision of a Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and by order of the Court of BiH, police officers of the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime of the RS MoI , in cooperation with Sarajevo Canton MoI, are conducting a joint operation codenamed "Hornet" in the area of Sarajevo and Foča, aimed at combating organized crime linked with illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs.

Acting within a 24-hour duty, the on-call prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH coordinated the activities of the officials of the Indirect Taxation Administration (ITA) of BiH, within which a quantity of 51,500 packs of cigarettes, undeclared and unmarked with excise stamps in accordance with the law, was seized. Its market value is estimated at about BAM 309,000.
