MORTAL REMAINS OF AT LEAST ONE PERSON FOUND DURING EXHUMATION IN FOČA

18.07.2023. 13:00 An investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is present at the site in the vicinity of the village of Izbišno, Municipality of Foča, in the canyon of the Bistrica River, where he coordinates the work of authorized officers participating in the exhumation process.  

CUSTODY PROPOSED FOR TWO PERSONS SUSPECTED OF MONEY COUNTERFEITING

18.07.2023. 12:44 Having carried out the operation and arrested two persons suspected of the placement of a larger quantity of counterfeit euro banknotes in the area of Banja Luka, the duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina questioned the suspects and decided to put forward a Motion for pre-Trial Custody with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

17.07.2023. 15:54 An Investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes is present at the micro-location of Kvrge, in the area of Banovići municipality, where, pursuant to an order of the Prosecutor in charge, she coordinates the activities of officers involved in the process of exhuming the remains of missing persons.

PERSON ACCUSED OF SMUGGLING OF PERSONS AND ATTACKING OFFICIAL PERSONS TASKED WITH APPREHENSION SIGNS PLEA AGREEMENT ADMITTING HIS GUILT AND GETS SENTENCED TO PRISON AND FINE

10.07.2023. 13:25 The accused Nemanja Filipović, born in 1992 in Ljubovija in the Republic of Serbia, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed a Plea Agreement in the presence of his attorney and thus fully pleaded guilty to the criminal offences of Smuggling of Persons and Attack against Official Persons on Tasks of Security, Detection and Apprehension of Perpetrators of Criminal Offences, which he was charged with by the Indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was subsequently sentenced by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to a single sentence of imprisonment for a term of one (1) year and two (2) months and a fine in the amount of BAM 1,500 as an accessory punishment.
