Having questioned the suspects, the Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in charge of the case put forward a Motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, seeking that custody be ordered against the following suspects:

Pursuant to an Order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been conducting activities of deprivation of liberty and searches at several locations, due to the commission of the criminal offence of Organizing a Group or Association for the Purpose of Perpetrating the Criminal Offence of Smuggling of Migrants, as referred to in Article 189a, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in conjunction with the criminal offence of Smuggling of Persons, as referred to in Article 189, Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Prosecutor’s Office issued an Order Not to Conduct Investigation against Mijo Krešić - Deputy Minister of Security of BiH, Mato Đaković - journalist, and Ivan Bandić - Consul General of the Republic of Croatia to BiH, Tuzla Consular Office, after carrying out verifications within the case formed by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH
ex officio in connection with the allegations stated on an Internet portal alleging that these persons are involved in illegal activities related to the recruiting of citizens of BiH for the purpose of carrying out illegal activities in BiH connected to the members of the Salafi Movement.

Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH Gordana Tadić, together with her associates, officials and staff from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, held a meeting with a delegation of the project for providing support to HJPC BiH regarding the implementation of the European Commission, OSCE Mission and GRECO recommendations pertaining to the strengthening of capacities for conducting financial investigations and combating high-level corruption, as well as combating organised crime and money laundering.

The accused physical and legal person-company, respectively, are charged with VAT evasion in the amount of BAM 48,143, whereby they damaged the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the said amount.
