LARGE AMOUNT OF EXCISE GOODS SEIZED IN OPERATION OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND SIPA

18.08.2020. 15:07 In a coordinated operation codenamed “Scooter”, carried out under the supervision of a prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, authorised SIPA police officers deprived six people of their liberty and discovered and seized a significant amount of cigarettes, money and other items used to commit the crime.

18.08.2020. 09:25 On an order of a Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH - (SIPA), in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office for Organised Crime of the Republic of Serbia and police officers of the Department for Fight against Organised Crime within the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, carried out an operation codenamed “Kayak” in which two suspects were deprived of liberty in the area of Bratunac. In this operation, 9 suspects have been deprived of liberty so far in both countries.

APPEAL SUBMITTED AGAINST DECISION ON CANCELLED PROHIBITION MEASURES IN NOVALIĆ ET AL. CASE

07.08.2020. 16:11  The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH filed an appeal with the Criminal Chamber of the Court of BiH against the decision of the Preliminary Proceedings Judge of that Court revoking the prohibitive measures against the suspects Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak and Fikret Hodžić in the “Respirators” case, which were imposed ex officio by the Court of BiH, and not at a motion of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

EXHUMATION COMPLETED IN ZVORNIK MUNICIPALITY

05.08.2020. 10:18 At the Repišta site, in Križevići in the Zvornik municipality, the process of exhumation/clearing up of the terrain has been completed and incomplete mortal remains of at least one person have been found. The subsequent process will determine the identity of the victims whose remains have been found.

05.08.2020. 09:05 A Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has issued an Indictment against four (4) persons charged with organized crime and international smuggling of large quantities of the ‘skunk’ marijuana narcotic drug from the territory of Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and further to the territory of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union.

04.08.2020. 20:24 Having questioned the suspects, a Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in charge of the case sent a proposal to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina seeking a custody measure to be ordered in regard to the following suspects Nikola Šaraba (1982), Dragan Bokić (1976) and Saša Vukanović (1984) from Trebinje.
