PERSONS SUSPECTED OF DESECRATING AND STARTING A FIRE ON RELIGIOUS FACILITIES IN MEĐUGORJE WILL BE HANDED OVER TO THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH
29.07.2026. 07:14Police officers of the Herzegovina – Neretva Canton Ministry of Interior will hand over to the prosecutor on call of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH a Polish citizen who was deprived of his liberty and is suspected of desecrating and starting a fire on religious facilities in the Marian Shrine in Međugorje.
After questioning the suspect, the prosecutor will decide on the motion for remand in custody and further activities in the case.
The aforementioned suspect is charged with committing a criminal offense under Article 145b. of the Criminal Code of BiH, which defines the criminal offense of damaging or destroying religious facilities.
