INDICTMENT FILED FOR ASSOCIATION TO COMMIT CRIMINAL OFFENCES AND COUNTERFEITING MONEY
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment against:
1. Eldin Šehagić* aka “Kljug”, born in 1999 in Zenica, with a criminal record,
2. Midhet Mraković* aka “Mide”, born in 1994 in Kakanj,
3. Aldin Čolak*, born in 2002 in Zenica, with a criminal record,
4. Emrah Idrizi*, born in 1999 in Zenica,
5. Said Grahić*, born in 1999 in Zenica, and
6. Emin Pandžić*, born in 1994 in Visoko, with a criminal record, all citizens of BiH.
The defendants are charged with having joined an organised group established by the first defendant, which, during 2024, in the territory of BiH, including Kiseljak, Tešanj, Jajce, Hadžiće, Bijeljina, Gradiška, Srbac, Cazin, Bugojno, Zavidovići, Velika Kladuša and Zenica, systematically and continuously put counterfeit banknotes in circulation in denominations of EUR 100 and 200, by making payments with counterfeit banknotes in shops or catering facilities on at least 18 occasions. They are charged with having committed a criminal offence of Associating for the purpose of perpetrating criminal offences under Article 249 and Counterfeiting of money under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
INDICTMENT FILED FOR CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF SMUGGLING OF PERSONS
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH filed an indictment against Sabahudin Gorak* aka “Budo”, born in Kakanj, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is charged that on 4 September 2024, in order to acquire illicit property gain, in the territory of the municipality of Rudo, in the immediate vicinity of the state border of BiH and the Republic of Serbia, placed 56 migrants of Syrian citizens on a truck after they had entered the territory of BiH at a place not intended for crossing the state border, all with the intention of transporting them to Sarajevo, in which he was discovered and stopped on the Rudo-Brodar main road by members of the BiH Border Police.
The defendant is charged with having transported smuggled persons, thus allowing the smuggled persons to stay in BiH, whereby he committed the criminal offence of Smuggling of persons under Article 189 (2) of the Criminal Code of BiH in conjunction with Article 29 of the same Code.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
