18.07.2025. 14:03CUSTODY MOTION PUT FORWARD FOR TWO PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has put forward a motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, seeking custody for the suspects Ajdin Đug*, born in 1983 in Tuzla, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Antonio Pavljašević*, born in 1992 in Tuzla, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
The custody measure was proposed for reasons as described in Article 132, paragraph 1, items b) and c) in relation to the suspect Đug, and for reasons as described in Article 132, paragraph 1, items a), b) and c) in relation to the suspect Pavljašević. The suspects were deprived of their liberty on 15 July 2025 by the BiH Border Police when entering Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of Orašje, on which occasion 527.24 grams of cocaine narcotic drug were discovered in their vehicle and it was subsequently confiscated. They are suspected to have committed the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, as referred to in Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
