DEPUTY CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF VICTIMS’ ASSOCIATION

The Head of
the Special Department for War Crimes and Deputy Chief Prosecutor, Ivan
Matešić, met with representatives of the Association “Woman Victims of War” and
the President of the Association, Bakira Hasečić.
The meeting discussed the work and processing of war crimes cases that include crimes of rape and sexual abuse, as well as the ways and modalities by which the Association can provide support in the work of prosecutors and professional staff of the Special Department for War Crimes.
The cooperation with the Association is useful in terms of gathering information, as well as establishing contact with victims of and injured parties in war crimes cases.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Special Department for War Crimes have good cooperation with associations that bring together victims and injured parties in cases from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
