CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH HEAD OF OSCE MISSION TO BIH

The meeting was also attended by Halisa Skopljak, Acting Head of the Department for the Rule of Law, and Nedžad Smailagić, legal advisor in the Department for the Rule of Law at the OSCE Mission to BiH.
The meeting discussed strengthening the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the work and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and partner law enforcement agencies and institutions, as well as the support of the OSCE Mission in the process of strengthening the capacity of judicial institutions in BiH.
Ambassador Aggeler emphasised the support of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in efforts to strengthen the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasised the importance of cooperation between law enforcement institutions and agencies on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
