INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST RAJKO MILIĆ ET AL.

- Radenko Zarić*, born in 1965 in Bratunac,
- Vukašin Drašković*, born in 1973 in Zvornik, and
- Milan Tomić*, born in 1967 in Loznica, Republic of Serbia,
The indictment alleges that in July 1995, the accused have, as members of the Military Police of the Zvornik and Bratunac Brigades, participated in the capture and forcible confinement of more than 829 Bosniak men and boys in the gymnasium of a school in the Roćević settlement in Zvornik municipality. The accused Miodrag Pavlović is charged with killing several detainees with a cold weapon, and the other accused participated in the transport and shooting of the prisoners at the gravel pit site on the banks of the river Drina in the settlement of Kozluk.
The accused are charged with having committed the criminal offense of Genocide under Article 171 of the CC BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
