PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH RECEIVES FINAL AND BINDING JUDGMENT IN HIGH-LEVEL CORRUPTION CASE

The
Prosecutor’s Office of BiH received a final second-instance verdict in the
Selmo Cikotić case confirming the first-instance judgment and sentencing of the
accused Cikotić to a three-year prison sentence.
Although the prosecution’s appeal regarding the amount of the sentence was rejected, the prosecution emphasises the importance of the final and binding conviction in this case of high-level corruption in which the accused, in the capacity of the former Minister of Defence of BiH, was sentenced to prison for the criminal offence of abuse of office or authority under Article 220 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
