IN HIGH-LEVEL ORGANISED CRIME CASE SEVERAL SUSPECTS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

Acting on
orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the police officers of the Administration
for Organised and Serious Crime of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the
Interior, in cooperation with the Prijedor Police Administration, deprived
eight persons from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia of their liberty, because
of the existence of grounds for suspicion that they were involved in criminal offences
of international smuggling of various types of narcotic drugs in the respective
territories of the countries of the region, as well as in several instances of
smuggling of a large number of illegal migrants from the territory of Bosnia
and Herzegovina towards the Republic of Croatia and EU countries.
Evidence obtained from the SKY application was used in this case.
The suspects are under investigation for the criminal offence of Organised crime under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of BiH /CC BiH/, in conjunction with the criminal offence of Illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs under Article 195 of the CC BiH and the criminal offence of Smuggling of migrants under Article 189a of the CC BiH.
