REMAINS OF VICTIM FROM PAST WAR FOUND AT EXHUMATION IN MOSTAR

The found remains will be transferred to the Sutina City Cemetery in Mostar for autopsy, identification and forensic processing.
The exhumation was attended by an investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a forensic expert-pathologist, representatives of the BiH Missing Persons’ Institute (INO) and the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as necessary workers, whereas police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Herzegovina- Neretva Canton were securing the location.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
