THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PARLIAMENTARY ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION

The meeting discussed the activities in the fight against corruption, which the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and partner law enforcement agencies have been undertaking with the aim of detecting, prosecuting and punishing the perpetrators of criminal offences of corruption, especially in state-level institutions, as well as the importance of cooperation between legislative institutions and parliamentary bodies with law enforcement agencies, which is very important in the segment of detecting possible forms of corruption in authorities.
It was concluded at the meeting that the cooperation between the Parliamentary Commission and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will continue in the future.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
