PROHIBITION MEASURES PROPOSED FOR ONE PERSON SUSPECTED OF ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN WEAPONS AND APPREHENDED WITHIN POLICE OPERATION CODENAMED “ICE”

After questioning the suspects, the prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in charge of the case sent a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order prohibition measures for Husein Beganović, born in 1956 in the municipality of Cazin, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was apprehended within the SIPA operation conducted in the areas of Cazin and Bosanska Krupa.  
  • PROHIBITION MEASURES PROPOSED FOR ONE PERSON SUSPECTED OF ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN WEAPONS AND APPREHENDED WITHIN POLICE OPERATION CODENAMED “ICE”

The aforementioned suspect is under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the charges against him are that he, during 2023, with the aim of obtaining illegal property benefits, on several occasions sold, brokered and offered for sale weapons and mine-explosive devices, without a license prescribed by the legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and contrary to international law.

 

The aforementioned suspects are accused of the criminal offence of illicit trafficking in weapons and military equipment and dual-use products in violation of Article 193 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

 

The prohibition measures, among other things, refer to the ban on leaving the place of residence, the ban on travel, and to the mandatory reporting to the appropriate police station.

 

The aforementioned prohibition measures will ensure the smooth implementation and completion of the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH together with partner agencies and institutions.

 

The investigation in the case is being continued intensively.
