Representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, including a prosecutor and an investigator from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, as well as employees of the Public Relations Department, met and talked with the students.

Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić addressed and welcomed the students, and pointed out the importance of cooperation between the judiciary and the academic and professional community, as well as of the students of law faculties as future employees of judicial institutions.

During the visit, the students were presented with the history, internal organisation and work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH over the 20 years of the institution’s existence, and considering that the students of the fourth year of the Faculty of Law within the International University in Sarajevo take the compulsory course in Criminal Procedural Law, the visit contributed to their better understanding of the importance and role prosecutors have in criminal proceedings, as well as the role of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the prosecution and judicial system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the visit, the students were also taken for a short tour of the building and capacities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH during which they could ask questions from all areas falling within the scope of work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH they were interested in.

The organisation of student visits is an activity in the implementation of the Communication Strategy of the Prosecutor’s Office BiH within the cooperation with the professional and academic community in the field of law studies, criminology, security and related studies.
