INDICTMENT FILED FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE GOODS - TOBACCO OF HIGHER VALUE

According to the indictment, the allegations against the defendant Kolobarić are that he, in order to acquire unlawful property gain, unlawfully dealt in the illicit trade in excise goods, that is, with the intention of selling tobacco, he used a tobacco cutting machine to produce illegally a large amount of tobacco that was not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the search of his family house in Široki Brijeg and passenger vehicle, which was carried out by authorised officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a total of 302.1 kg of cut tobacco was found and seized, as well as digital scales and an electric tobacco cutting machine.
The defendant is charged with the criminal offence of illegal sale of excise goods in violation of Article 210a (1) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 26 of the same Code.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
