CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH MET WITH STATE PROSECUTOR GENERAL OF SLOVENIA

The meeting parties discussed the cooperation of the two prosecutor’s offices in the fight against organized, cross-border and international crime, work within the EUROJUST association, in which joint operations have already been carried out, as well as cases with evidence from SKY and Anom applications.
The two prosecutor’s offices have established direct contacts for the purpose of faster and more efficient communication and the need for quick action in the fight against all types of crime.
In the past two years, joint activities were carried out in investigations in which the crimes were committed and the perpetrators were located in the territory of Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The State Prosecutor General of Slovenia expressed his full support for the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and expressed his willingness to share Slovenia’s experience in strengthening judicial institutions and the rule of law on the way to European accession.
Given that important chapters within the framework of BiH’s candidacy status refer to the rule of law, Mr. Šketa pointed out that he will help the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to establish contacts and cooperation with bodies combating crime and corruption in the EU countries in the coming period, for the sake of communication and joint cooperation in the future
