05.07.2023. 14:17
The accused Abdulah Džanko (1984) has signed a Plea Agreement in the presence of his attorney, thus pleading guilty to the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, referred to in the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • PERSON ACCUSED OF ILLICIT INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS SIGNS PLEA AGREEMENT ADMITTING GUILT

As a member of an organised criminal group, which operated on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, with the aim of acquiring unlawful material gain, this accused person is charged with engaging in illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, as well as with concealing and manufacturing narcotic drugs, and then redistributing the narcotic drugs and hiding it for further sale.

For the accused Abdulah Džanko, a sentence of imprisonment for a term of one (1) year was proposed along with a fine in the amount of BAM 10,000 KM as an accessory punishment, as well as a security measure of confiscation of instrumentalities used in the perpetration of the criminal offence.

The proposed sentence is consistent with the role and responsibility of the accused in the perpetration of the criminal offence.

By signing the Plea Agreement, the accused waives his right to a trial and may not file an appeal against the criminal sanction that will be imposed on him.

A number of the accused persons in this case pleaded guilty by signing Plea Agreements, whereas the court proceedings against some of the accused persons in this case are ongoing before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After consideration, the Plea Agreement was accepted by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
