A delegation from the judicial institutions of the Republic of Serbia, composed of officials of the High Court and the Court of Appeal in Belgrade, representatives of the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office, lawyers, domestic legal practitioners who handle war crimes cases, were on a study visit to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office.

During the study visit, representatives of the delegation were informed about the organization and working methods of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special emphasis on the activities and work of the Special Department for War Crimes, the specifics of work on these type of cases, as well as all other segments that are important for the efficient processing of war crimes cases. 

The importance and modalities of improving regional cooperation in the criminal prosecution of war crimes cases were highlighted, in order to achieve the best possible results in the fight against impunity for war crimes in the countries of the region. 

The plan and program of this visit was aimed at exchange of experiences and court practice with the colleagues aiming to increase efficiency in the prosecution of criminal cases.
