INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST 15 PERSONS FOR WAR CRIMES IN THE BANJA LUKA AREA
30.12.2022. 11:09The accused had the functions of warden, deputy warden and guard in the said facility, and the crimes committed relate to illegal imprisonment, beatings, keeping in inhumane conditions, abuse, sexual abuse and other inhumane acts, which were committed against dozens of victims, civilians and prisoners of war who were ethnic Bosniaks and Croats and among whom there were also women and elderly people, and the beatings resulted in death.
The prosecution will prove the allegations of the indictment with the testimony of a large number of witnesses, including victims who were imprisoned in this facility, as well as by submitting several hundred pieces of evidence.The accused are charged with war crimes against civilians and war crimes against prisoners of war. The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
