EXHUMATION OF A MISSING PERSON FROM BANJA LUKA AREA CARRIED OUT IN THE AREA OF LIVNO
21.11.2022. 14:00 An exhumation and preliminary identification of the missing person D.G., a person from the Banja Luka area, who disappeared in the Livno area in 1995, was completed at the Rapovina cemetery site, in Livno municipality.
Following the exhumation, the skeletal remains were transported to the premises of the "City Cemetery" JK a.d. Banja Luka, and the final identification is scheduled for 23 November 2022 in Banja Luka.
An investigator of the Special Department coordinated the exhumation and the work of authorized officials for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH pursuant to the instruction of the Prosecutor. The exhumation process was attended by officers of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH, the Institute of Forensic Medicine Banja Luka, an expert pathologist of the forensic medical profession, necessary workers, as well as investigators and crimetechnicians of the Ministry of Interior of Canton 10 Livno, and police officers from PS Livno who secured the location. The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, together with other institutions that participate in the process of searching for and identifying missing persons, continues its activities in the process of exhuming and searching for missing persons in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
