REMAINS OF ONE PERSON EXUMED IN THE AREA OF IGMAN
12.09.2022. 15:02 An investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes is at the location of Mount Igman, where, by order of the Prosecutor, he is coordinating the work of authorized officials who are involved in the process of exhumation and the search for the remains of victims from the past war.
The remains of one person were found at the exhumation site, and according to preliminary information it is an ethnic Serb victim. The remains will be sent for further forensic processing and identification of the victim through DNA analysis.
A forensic pathologist and representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH participated in the process of exhumation, while representatives of SIPA, required workers and machinery, as well as police officers who secured the location, were also present.Information about the location of the body was obtained through joint investigative and operational work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, SIPA and the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH.
