APPEAL FILED AGAINST THE ACQUITTAL OF RAMIĆ AGAN (1962)
22.07.2022. 14:45 Having received a written copy of the verdict, Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes filed an appeal against the first-instance verdict of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina by which the accused Agan Ramić was acquitted of war crimes committed against the victims of Serb ethnicity in the area of Konjic.
The appeal was filed due to significant violations of the criminal procedure provisions as well as the erroneously and incompletely established state of facts in the first-instance verdict.
The filed appeal requests the Appellate Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to accept the appeal and revoke the first-instance acquittal.The individiual Ramić Agan is accused of abusing Serb civilians in the area of Konjic in May 1992 as a member of the Municipal HQ of the Territorial Defense Konjic - Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The appeal was forwarded to the Appellate Department of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
