INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF MIGRANTS

 Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an indictment against Adna Skenderović, born in 1996 in Zenica, living in Sarajevo, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF MIGRANTS

 The accused is charged with having, in the aim of obtaining illegal property gain, designed and implemented illegal activities in order to smuggle three illegal migrants, who did not meet the conditions for legal residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Tuzla airport.

Namely, the accused is charged with having obtained BiH passport documents from BiH citizens, two adults and one child, in the area of Cazin, with the promise of a reward.

She made the aforementioned travel documents available to illegal migrants, two adults and one minor - child from the territory of Syria and Morocco, in order to illegally transport them across the state border of Bosnia and Herzegovina by misrepresenting them as citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Afterwards, the smuggled migrants have, using the aforementioned travel documents and falsely presenting themselves as citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, approached the passport control of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the international border crossing at Tuzla International Airport, during which they were discovered in an attempt to illegally transfer and cross the state border from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kingdom of Sweden.

The accused is charged with having acted contrary to Article 6 of the Protocol against Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air and Article 7, Paragraph 2 of the Law on Border Control, by knowingly smuggling migrants who did not have their own valid travel documents and did not meet the conditions for legal entry into the countries of the European Union, nor did they have an approved stay or residence in those countries, and with having acted with the intent of obtaining illegal property gain for herself and others and attempting to illegally transport migrants across the state border, thereby committing the criminal offense - Smuggling of Persons under Article 189, paragraph 1 of the CC BiH.
