THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE IS IN CONTACT WITH THE CROATIAN INSTITUTIONS REGARDING THE UNDERTAKING OF ALL ACTIVITIES FOR THE EXTRADITION OF THE SUSPECT JOVAN JOŠILO (1983)
08.07.2022. 10:00The judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina looked for the aforementioned suspect for several months, after which, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the RS Ministry of Interior and partner institutions in the region, he was located and detained in the territory of Istria in the Republic of Croatia.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other relevant institutions, will undertake all necessary activities to extradite the suspect to Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible, for his further criminal prosecution.
Also, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH would like to thank the partner institutions of the Republic of Croatia for their cooperation and assistance in this case.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
